In my art classes, I prioritize the process of creating. I believe in offering open-ended, choice-driven experiences that celebrate the thrill of discovery. Helena’s art classes are inspired by the Reggio philosophy, which recognizes that children have multiple ways of thinking, playing, exploring, speaking, and doing.
The studio
Located in the magical Atlantic Beach, FL, my home studio is the perfect creative haven. I provide a variety of art classes tailored to different schedules, including morning sessions, after-school programs, and even mobile art workshops for both kids and adults.
In my art sessions, we embark on an exploration of creativity in all its forms. From traditional techniques to contemporary crafts, we dive into the realm of artistic expression. Embracing the spirit of big, messy creativity, we encourage bold experimentation and unconventional approaches.
About me
Hello! My name is Helena Acosta, I am a passionate Venezuelan mom, and art educator. Before founding JAX Little Art, I curated captivating art exhibitions worldwide.
But let me tell you, when motherhood arrived, art became an integral part of my daily parenting journey and still is!. These delightful experiences brought immense joy and strengthened the bond between my little daughter and me. We embarked on imaginative adventures, intertwining our imaginations.
JAX little art has been an amazing experience for my 4 year old son – we look forward to it every week and it’s so refreshing to spend time outside creating little masterpieces. helena is a brilliant and creative artist who truly encourages children to explore and find their own processes with each and every project. her patience and appreciation for messes and creativity is inspiring. 10/10 recommend. Helena has created a wonderful art experience that my daughter has absolutely enjoyed. She loved her first session and was begging to sign her up for another. They use all kinds of mediums and get to let their creativity run wild! I’m sure when this session is over she will want to continue as long as we can.
